As the label says, “in September on the vine and in November on the glass”. The Primero wine is one of the most eagerly awaited, because it is made using the traditional carbonic maceration method, which allows for a high quality wine in just six weeks from the time the grapes (in this case Tinta de Toro) are harvested. The winery responsible for this genius is Bodegas Fariña, one of the most important ones of the D.O. Toro. Moreover, the label reproduces a different work of art every year, and it is chosen by contest. In 2020, the winner of the 15th National Painting Contest “El Primero” of Fariña is the artist from Almeria, Lola Berenguer.
