Pardevalles Gamonal. Red wine produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Pardevalles in the D.O. León from Prieto Picudo grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand at Pago Gamonal in 15 kg boxes. Fermentation, in stainless steel truncated cone-shaped tanks, and maceration are carried out with the grapes’ own skins. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels, located in a subway cellar more than 300 years old. It presents intense garnet cherry color with maroon trim. Ripe red fruit aroma with notes of harmonized toast of the barrel and soft touches of liquorice characteristic of the variety. Powerful, cool, varietal. Notes bitter tannins blend perfectly with the fruit, achieving rich feelings of meatiness and very good persistence taste.
