Do you want a high quality, organic, red wine from Madrid that will succeed in any situation? For its explosion of flavours, Licinia is your choice.
Licinia. Licinia is one of the jewels in the crown of the local Vinos de Madrid D.O. wine region. This big, rich and complex red comes from the unassuming town of Morata de Tajuña in the Arganda subzone southeast of the capital. An elegant blend of Tempranillo (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Merlot (5%) and Syrah (20%), the wine has spent 12 months in new French oak barrels. The result is a noble and chewy red. The nose is dark and moody, crushed jammy black fruits, tobacco spice, cedar and some florality. The palate is full bodied and dry and screams out for hearty meat dishes. One of our favourites.
