Description

Lagarona Cepas Viejas. Red wine produced by Bodegas Estancia Piedra in the D.O. Toro in Tinta de Toro (75%) and Garnacha (25%) varieties. It is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels and 2 years in bottle before being marketed to the public. It comes from the old vines of the Pago Lagarona vineyard, harvested by hand. It has a beautiful and intense cherry red color with a ruby-teak rim. The nose presents intense aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry and plum) and acid red fruits (cassis and raspberry), full of balsamic and spicy nuances. In the mouth it is very fresh, balanced, powerful and silky at the same time, very long, with very polished tannins and an aromatic finish.
