La Trucha. One of most popular Albariños from Rías Baixas, La Trucha is a fun and easy-to-drink Galician white wine. This winery is located in the Condado do Tea subzone; further inland from the coast on the border with Portugal. This area is drier and hotter than other parts of Rías Baixas D.O. and as a result the wines tend to have a bit more aromatic ripeness and more weight in the palate. The juice spends between 3 and 6 months on the lees before heading to the bottle. La Trucha is intense on the nose with peaches and apricots and some delicate blossom notes. The palate is unctuous and fruity with a lovely long finish.
