Description
La Sabina. La Sabina is one of our favourite red wines from our beloved Las Moradas de San Martin winery in the western edge of the Vinos de Madrid D.O. region. We believe this bottle is the best price-to-quality reference in the winery. You get a high-altitude mountain 100% Garnacha from one plot of land -Montazo- that has spent 13 months in 500 l french oak barrels. The vineyards are from 1930 are are farmed biodynamically. The grapes are harvested manually and the wine is neither clarified nor filtered. The nose is truly delightful and a great representation of the area: wild spices and mountain herb, liquorice and balsamic notes as well as plums and dark ripe cherries. The palate is full and structured.
