Juan Gil Etiqueta Plata. If you want somebody to taste and understand what a Monastrell from Jumilla D.O. is like we would recommend immediately handing them a bottle of this. Juan Gil is very much the shining light and leading name in the Murcian wine region. This red wine is a bold and dark 100% Monastrell that has spent 12 months in oak. The nose is fruity and earthy. Hot violets, blackberries, ripe cherries and plum and some vanilla and liquorice. The palate is big, full and tannic, but still nice and fruity.
