Capricho de Merenzao

Description

Capricho de Merenzao. Red wine produced by Adega Ponte da Boga in the D.O. Ribeira Sacra that revives the Merenzao grape variety (also known as Bastardo or María Ordoña). The grapes are destemmed and crushed, and fermented for about 10 days with gentle pumping over, followed by maceration for about 8 to 10 days. It is then aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. It presents notes of rose, raspberry and cherry both on the nose and in the mouth.
